A revitalized Daniil Medvedev claimed his first title for 882 days with a win over Frenchman Moutet in the Almaty Open title decider.

The athlete, a former top-ranked player, has had a challenging season, winning just one match at the Grand Slams and experiencing a meltdown at the New York tournament.

The player's unpredictability on the ATP Tour - and struggles with his serve in particular - resulted in him exiting of the world's top 10 and finally splitting with long-time trainer Cervara.

Now collaborating with his coach and Rohan Goetzke, the tennis star has consistently improved in the recent weeks - culminating in a hard-fought three-set win over opponent Corentin Moutet.

This marks his initial title following the Rome competition and initial on a hard court after that period of 2023.

The win also signifies the Russian has won twenty-one titles at 21 various competitions.

"This marks the first occasion I'm at a competition with my both daughters together, so to get a trophy is especially meaningful," said tennis professional the champion.

"This victory is in tribute of my second daughter my daughter, because the maiden victory I won when my child her name was born was for her."

Medvedev, the former major winner, had failed in his past six finals, comprising in that event earlier this year.

The player's retrieving play style and recurring emotional displays on the playing surface had prompted commentators to wonder if his ability to compete at the highest level was concluded.

However the player has made changes in recent weeks, striving to advance forward and play aggressively, supported by an enhanced serve.

The champion fought back from a break down in the initial set against the tricky Moutet, taking 4 of the concluding five points to take the lead.

Both players swapped service breaks in the following set before the Frenchman, attempting for his maiden tour championship, took control to push for a third set.

The opponent rescued 4 initial chances in a close final set before Medvedev won the break to fifteen to serve for the match.

Appropriately, he earned the win with a shot at the net area, with the Frenchman failing to manage a shot after over two and a half hours.
